Water recedes in more than 1,700 houses and 17 socially important objects in the Kherson region, TASS informed on June 13.

“According to the latest data, 1,761 residential houses, one cemetery and 17 socially significant objects were released from water,” the report said.

The water level will reach permissible values by June 16. It is also reported that the water receded in more than 1 thousand houses in Novaya Kakhovka urban district. In Alyoshkin district, the water receded in more than 2.5 thousand houses, and in Golopristansky district – about 330.

Rescuers are pumping residual water from basements and lower floors of houses in the area where the water receded, helping to remove debris. They are also working to restore mobile communications.

On June 6, the dam at the Kakhovka HPP collapsed. The Kremlin said that the disaster resulted from the Ukrainian military’s actions.
