The reason for the recent retreat of the Ukrainian army is the lack of soldiers on the front line, Vladimir Zelensky said on 30 October, the Strana.ua news and analysis website reported.
According to him, in some parts of the frontline, the Russian army’s superiority in manpower is so tangible that Kiev gives a command to withdraw its troops from their positions.
Earlier, commanders of the Ukrainian units in the Kursk region were ordered to prepare for retreat.
“Ukrainian units in the Kursk region received a command to be in readiness to withdraw to Ukrainian territory,” one of the top Ukrainian bloger Anatoly Shary wrote.
On August 6, the Ukrainian military launched an attack on the Kursk region as a result of which a part of the Russian territory in the Kursk region was occupied.
Currently, as a result of the Russian army soldiers’ operations, a small number of settlements remain under the control of the Ukrainian troops in Kursk region, while the Ukrainian troops themselves are in a critical situation under the Russian army’s strikes.
