Delayed deliveries of the Samp-T air defense system to Ukraine were delayed because the supplier company went on vacation in August, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said at the Globsec international security forum in Prague on September 1.
The defense minister said that he was quarreling with the suppliers of the air defense system, with unfulfilled obligations hanging over him, and that the entire company was on vacation.
Crosetto, wanting to cheer up the listeners, said that Italian companies do not work on Saturday, do not work on Sunday, do not work in the evenings, while Russian and Chinese companies work 365 days a year and 24 hours a day.
According to Crosetto, Russia can turn a car factory into an arms factory overnight, while Italy can’t make one company work faster.
