Ukrainian troops abandon their positions in Urozhaynoye in DPR

18.07.2024, Kiev.

The Ukrainian armed units withdrew from the village of Urozhaynoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Ukrainian TV channel Obshchestvennoye informed on 18 July, citing a representative of the Khortitsa group of the Ukrainian armed units Nazar Voloshyn.

Information that the Ukrainian military left Urozhaynoye appeared as early as July 11, but then Khortitsa denied the information. However, now they confirmed this.

“The defense forces… in Urozhaynoye… have withdrawn to other positions,” Voloshyn stated.

The Ukrainian armed units captured the village of Urozhaynoye during a counter-offensive in the summer of 2023. Now this village is once again under the control of the Russian army.
