It is noted that the goal of the attackers was to remove the Ukrainian leadership from power by seizing the building of the Verkhovna Rada.

The SBU said that a group of activists planned to carry out the seizure on June 30.

SBU specified that the seizure was planned under the guise of a spontaneous meeting. It was supposed to break into the building of the Verkhovna Rada and block its work. These actions would have accompanied riots in the center of Kiev.

It was planned to gather additional forces from other regions of Ukraine to implement the plan.

The SBU believes that the detainees sought to shake up the social and political situation in Ukraine, which would benefit Russia.
