The transition to a new world order will take a whole historical epoch and will not be easy, given that the United States is trying to hinder this process, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on June 10 at a meeting of BRICS foreign ministers.

He called the BRICS expansion evidence of forming a multipolar world order. New centers for making globally significant political decisions are being strengthened.

They include the countries of the South and East, Lavrov noted. He said that these countries are in favor of creating a just order, which implies sovereign equality of states.

“The transition to a new world order will take a whole historical era and will be thorny,” the minister emphasized.

He noted that the United States and its allies are not giving up their attempts to slow down the formation of multipolarity. For this purpose, they use economic instruments as weapons.

At the same time, the West also uses forceful methods, Lavrov emphasized.
