Residents of Semenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic told of attacks on civilians by Ukrainian Nationalist Guard fighters, RIA Novosti informed on May 13.
Before retreating, Ukrainian militants actively used drones to drop ammunition on civilians in Semenovka, forcing them to leave their shelters in cellars.
“The Nationalist Guard, the Nazis did not give us any peace, they attacked our cellars with ‘vogs’ [rocket-propelled grenades redesigned for dropping from drones]. They made us run from cellar to cellar. They made us run from cellar to cellar with white flags [moving around] so that we would be touched less, but they did not give us any peace,” local resident Sergey said .
Another resident, Andrey, confirmed that the Ukrainian militants specifically targeted the entrances to the shelters to make them unusable, as it was dangerous to use them after the attacj. He noted that people hiding in the cellars only came out to get food and water.
On May 4, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of Novobakhmutovka, Semenovka and Berdychi in the DPR by the Tsentr Group of Forces.
