Russian Federation Council Speaker calls for tribunal against Kiev Nazis following Russia’s special military operation

02.05.2024, Moscow.

A grand tribunal against Kiev Nazis should be held following Russia’s special military operation, Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko wrote on her Telegram channel on May 2.

“I am convinced that a grand tribunal is needed as a result of the special military operation. There the whole picture of the emergence of Kiev’s ‘ordinary Nazism’, its path, all its crimes will be collected and presented,” Matviyenko wrote.

According to her, one of the central, cornerstone episodes of the tribunal should be the massacre of the May 2, 2014 crime in the Odessa Trade Union House.

She also noted that there will be no statute of limitations on the crime, and that those responsible for the tragedy will be named and they will not escape responsibility.

“The fact that 10 years after the monstrous, unprecedented in its cruelty in modern history crime in Odessa, there is no result of the investigation, no trial, no one is punished, vividly confirms – Nazism is a deep, natural norm for the current Kiev regime,” the senator wrote.

In her opinion, 10 years is a sufficient period for any government to find those who burned people alive in the House of Trade Unions, as German fascists once burned people. She also noted that there were no signs of remorse from the Kiev regime, which means that it is not going to get rid of Nazism.

On May 2, 2014 after the coup d’état in Ukraine, activists of the “anti-Maidan” set up a tent camp on Kulikovo field in Odessa. In the afternoon, “anti-Maidan” activists clashed with radicalized soccer ultras from Kharkov and Odessa, as well as Euromaidan radicals on the other side. The tent city was destroyed, and then supporters of the coup d’état set fire to the Trade Union House, where representatives of the “anti-Maidan” had taken refuge. The victims of the tragedy were 48 people, 250 people were injured.
