Israel has transformed into a hedonistic state and thus it failed to occupy Gaza, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on April 10 on the program Objectively on Belarusian channel ONT.
Kurginyan noted that during the US-Iraq war, Iraq was weaker than the US, but not to the extent HAMAS is weaker than Israel. Therefore, the IDF was expected to quickly occupy Gaza at the initial phase due to its military dominance.
The second phase, according to Kurginyan, was expected to “resemble the US-Iraq war, because the US first quickly occupied Iraq, and then it fled as quickly due to various shahidist activities after they realized the casualties they would suffer if they enter there with their infantry and try to establish some order there.”
But in fact, the leader of Essence of Time stressed that a different scenario took place, and the IDF still cannot occupy Gaza. It cannot do it technically, although everyone believed it had an overwhelming military technical superiority.
“There are many reasons why this does not take place, and one of them is that the Israel of 2023 is not the same as Israel in 1970 or 1978… This is now a very hedonistic, quite softened state,” the political scientist explained.
