Kiev regime intends to solve problems with demography and high losses in the conflict with Russia at the expense of women, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 582.
The gender adviser to the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Oksana Grygoryeva, said in early April that the Ukrainian constitution states that the defense of the homeland is the duty of every Ukrainian. Therefore, in her opinion, it is absolutely fair that women should also serve in the army and be ready for war just like men.
Grigoryeva cited Israel’s example, where women are subject to conscription in the army. She called the exemption of women from mobilization an “old-school mentality.” According to The Times, 65,000 women are currently serving in the Ukrainian armed units, which is 40 percent more than in 2021.
“At the same time, the birth rate in Ukraine has reached a 300-year low. ‘If you don’t want to bear children, then go to war!’ this is apparently a decision made by the Ukrainian authorities,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
