The losses of Ukrainian servicemen since the beginning of the Russia’s military special operation amounted to about 500,000 people, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting of the agency’s board on April 23.

Shoigu said the Kiev regime had not achieved its goals with the announced counter-offensive. He noted that the Russian Armed Forces had dispelled the myth about the superiority of Western weapons.

The minister added that Washington plans to allocate $61 billion to Kiev to prevent the collapse of the Ukrainian armed units. However, most of these funds will be used to finance the US defense enterprises.

Russia, in turn, will continue to improve the composition and structure of its army commensurate with the threats posed by the United States and its allies. At present, Russian units have the initiative along the entire contact line and continue to overpower the enemy, the general emphasized.
