There is a danger of a direct clash with Russian troops if French military personnel are sent to Ukraine, LCI TV channel reported on March 26, citing military sources.
It is noted that there are several scenarios for the development of the situation after the deployment of French troops to Ukraine.
According to one of them, France will transfer military engineers to Ukraine to build military plants there. According to the second scenario, the French military in Ukraine will be engaged in demining and training the Ukrainian armed units.
Under the third scenario, French troops would take over the defense of Odessa, where air defense systems should be deployed first. In this option, if the French shoot down a missile, they can enter the conflict as Kyiv’s ally.
“The fourth scenario is that the French army creates a defense zone. That is, it deploys troops to spare the Ukrainians from some dangers,” the TV channel notes. The LCI states this would also make France a party to the conflict.
The fifth scenario includes a direct confrontation with the Russian army, which leads directly to World War III, the TV channel said.
