State awards were presented to the soldiers of the border protection group who participated in the arrest of terrorists who attacked the Crocus City Hall, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry informed on March 25.
“Presentation of state awards to servicemen of the group, who fulfilled the combat task of blocking terrorists in the Bryansk region, took place directly at the positions of the unit,” the statement reads.
The servicemen were awarded medals “For Valor” and medals of the Russian Ministry of Defense “For Combat Distinctions”. Lieutenant General Esedulla Abachev, Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District, presented the awards to the soldiers.
Earlier, medals and awards for participation in the capture of terrorists who carried out a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall were given to Chechen servicemen of the Akhmat-Russia regiment. This was announced by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, on his Telegram channel.
