Proposals to deploy NATO troops in Ukraine are aimed at gauging the reaction of society and elites rather than implementing this in the near future, as it would entail a nuclear war in Europe, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 572.
The UK suggested that NATO allies study the possibility of sending a NATO expeditionary corps to Ukraine. In addition, London suggested setting up a no-fly zone over the territory under the control of Kiev and did not rule out strikes on Russia’s strategic infrastructure facilities.
The UK believes that implementing such plan would undermine Russia’s offensive capabilities and force it to negotiate.
“NATO troops in Ukraine means a nuclear war in Europe. Therefore, this information in the mass media should be perceived rather as a gauge of the reaction of society and elites,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
