The war being waged in Ukraine is absolutely unprecedented, said political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on January 27 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.
“It doesn’t resemble anything else. This is a completely new war; with these drones, endlessly swarming everywhere,” noted the political scientist, adding that the term “positional” is rather nominal in this conflict.
According to Kurginyan, in any positional war, large formations can be moved and attacked with large forces. But in the war in Ukraine, you have to carefully use a battalion-tactical group, fearing that it will be covered with mortar fire.
At the same time, the political scientist emphasized that in this war we are dealing with a completely different weapon accuracy, a completely different lethality and colossal volume. At the same time, he drew attention to the scale of the losses, emphasizing that they are not comparable with the losses in the wars that were fought after the WWII.
“Well, when people wake up and hear what the Russian Ministry of Defense is telling them about it, listing the losses of the opposite side. So, can they understand the scale of what is mentioned? The scale! Or, is there some kind of a blocker already installed in the human psyche, which turns if off when the numbers are mentioned?” said the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
Moreover, back then we were not talking about our own territory, noted Sergey Kurginyan.
“So, the point is that, at first, the fight was fought on foreign territory, far away, with someone else’s hands. There was no direct involvement, no Belgorod… This means that now, it is a completely different process that must be considered according to its internal logic, and not according to precedents,” the political scientist clarified.
