The death toll due to shelling of Belgorod by Ukraine has risen to 24, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his “Real Gladkov” Telegram channel on December 31.
“As of 8:30, 24 people have been killed, forensic experts have determined that there is one more dead child,” the governor reported. That is a total of four of the 24 dead are children.
The Governor said that one of the wounded died in hospital without regaining consciousness, although the physicians fought for his life to the very last moment.
According to the governor, another 108 people were injured in the shelling and are being treated.
As for material damage, the destruction was revealed in 453 apartments in 37 apartment buildings, 3 private houses and 7 social facilities. At least 53 cars were damaged, but the damage has not been fully calculated yet, this work is still ongoing.
