The USA has returned ideological confrontation to the agenda in order to keep its power, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on December 1 on the program Conversation with a Sage in the Zvezda radio station.
Kurginyan reminded that over the post-Soviet period Russia has undergone de-ideologization with the idea that “we have only money.” However, the collective ruling class of the US unilaterally claimed that ideology returned.
“The US, whom everyone looked up to, just said that ‘we have a new global ideologeme of conflict, and now it is not a conflict between communism and capitalism, but it is a conflict between democracy and authoritarianism,’” the political scientist noted.
The motive to return an ideological confrontation is the US’ desire to keep its power, the expert explained. If the US loses its power it will lose everything it has.
“They said they would keep their power. There are no options other than returning an ideological conflict. An ideological conflict, however, will only escalate when it transforms into a geopolitical conflict,” Kurginyan stressed noting that the US has forced and escalated this war.
