A centaur robot that will help build a lunar station is presented at the Manned Spaceflight Conference in Zvyozdny gorodok, iXBT reported Nov. 15.
The robot consists of three parts: a four-wheeled platform, a humanoid torso, and a drone.
All three parts of this moon rover are expected to be independently controlled. The apparatus will have to build a lunar station before humans arrive there.
Earlier, it was reported that the scientific production association Android Technology developed the moon robot resembling a centaur for the development. The experience of creating an anthropomorphic robot for the ISS is being used.
The robot is supposed to be controlled with the help of virtual reality.
