Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Russia and Turkey will meet in Tehran

The foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia and Turkey are planning to meet in Tehran to discuss the latest events in the South Caucasus, Iranian state news agency IRNA reported on October 22.

The meeting of the foreign ministers is to be held in the Iranian capital on October 23. The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Russia and Turkey intend to discuss the latest events in the South Caucasus and issues of regional security cooperation. The main item of the talks will be peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi reportedly called NATO’s presence in the South Caucasus unacceptable. Iran believes that the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict should be solved without outside interference.
