Arsen Pavlov (Motorola) became a real national hero during his lifetime, and he will remain in memory, the head of the Donetsl People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin wrote on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of Motorola’s death on October 16 on his Telegram channel.
“Seven years have passed since the tragic death of the Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic Arsen Pavlov. The enemy, having failed to defeat him on the battlefield, despicably committed a terrorist attack in the house where Motorola lived with his family,” Pushilin wrote.
He noted that Pavlov was among the first to arrive in Donbass to defend the DPR. Here he chose his destiny when the hero headed the battalion “Sparta”. According to the DPR head, Motorola himself became one of the symbols of the fight for Slavyansk, and his unit began to be called legendary.
“He was one of those who burned with the idea of the Russian world, claiming: ‘My task is to protect the people who have made their choice.’ And he became a true nationwide hero who is loved and honored,” Pushilin stressed.
Arseny Pavlov was the commander of the anti-tank special unit Sparta of the DPR and colonel of the DPR Armed Forces. He is the hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic. On October 16, 2016, he was killed in the elevator of his house, in Donetsk. The explosive device went off when the doors closed behind Motorola.
