Evacuating the wounded and injured in the Gaza Strip for treatment to Egyptian hospitals was requested by the Palestinian Hamas movement in an appeal published on its Telegram account on October 15.
In its appeal to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Hamas asked to support the Palestinian people in confronting aggression in order to hinder Israel’s plan to displace and resettle Palestinians.
It should be noted that on October 15, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that regular bombardment by Israel has led to the destruction of all major hospitals in the Gaza Strip and damage to others. Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip has resulted in hospitals running on emergency generators with only enough fuel for 48 hours.
