The death toll from Israeli strikes on the Palestinian Gaza Strip has risen to 493, Al Hadath TV wrote on October 9, citing the Palestinian Health Ministry.
“The number of Palestinian casualties rose to 493 and the number of wounded to 2,751,” the TV channel informed, quoting the ministry’s figures as saying.
Previous data spoke of 450 dead and 2.3 thousand wounded.
On the night of October 7, the Palestinian movement Hamas attacked the southern regions of Israel. The militants of the group managed to seize several Israeli military facilities and penetrate into several cities.
The Israeli government announced the transition to a military regime. The Israeli army has begun mopping up the territory. Aircraft carried out missile and bombing strikes on the Gaza Strip, including on multi-story buildings where, according to the Israeli army, Hamas commanders are hiding.
