The West could stop supporting Zelensky at any moment, making him a “scapegoat,” Al-Watan Syria expert Khadil Mohieddin Ali wrote on October 4.
“The end of the Ukrainian president is obvious, as everyone knows that friendship with the USA is more dangerous than confrontation with it… And Washington’s habit of getting rid of its allies is the basis of its policy and global influence,” the author noted.
In her opinion, time is working against Zelensky and his supporters. “Their worst nightmares are becoming a reality,” writes Khadil Mohieddin Ali. The journalist noted that the statements of Western officials and demands of US senators regarding restrictions on financial aid to Ukraine are becoming more and more often.
She also noted that EU countries are also experiencing difficulties related to long-term logistical assistance to Kiev. European officials realize that they will have to endure a “harsh winter”, which will make the West “not care about Zelensky’s demands”.
“The Ukrainian leader is afraid of being abandoned by his allies at any moment. He can be made a scapegoat and have his throat cut with a ‘Russian knife’ without hesitating for a second,” the expert said.
On October 2, the spokeswoman for the US presidential administration Karine Jean-Pierre said that the US budget is still sufficient only to meet the urgent needs of Kiev.
On October 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the USA would eventually find money to support the Kiev regime.
