Peacekeepers’ medical detachment will provide medical aid to residents injured in Nagorno-Karabakh

A medical detachment of the Russian peacekeeping mission is providing medical aid to residents injured in the explosion of a fuel tank in Stepanokert in Nagorno-Karabakh, according to a September 26 bulletin of the Russian Defense Ministry.

“The special-purpose medical detachment of the Russian peacekeeping contingent (RMC) is providing medical aide to 22 local residents injured in the explosion of a fuel tank in Stepanakert,” the bulletin reads.

Head of the RMC medical unit Pavel Suslov said that 23 local residents with burns of upper respiratory tract, upper and lower extremities applied to the medical unit on the morning of September 26. Medical aid was fully provided to all the injured.

On the evening of September 25, more than 200 people were injured in a strong explosion at a gasoline storage facility near the highway Stepanokert – Askeran.
