Ukrainian units were pushed back to their initial positions in the Ugledar direction, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said on September 19 on air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“In the Ugleda direction: the enemy made attempts to advance in the area of Priyutnoye and Staromayorskoye, the use of artillery from our side was quite successful, the enemy was pushed back,” Pushilin said.

The DPR head also noted that artillery strikes were made on forest belts. As a result, according to Pushilin, manpower amassed by the enemy was eliminated in several areas.

“As for the aspirations, on the boundary of Urozhaynoye, Staromayorskoye and Novodonetskoye our units managed to improve the situation, the enemy was thrown back to the initial positions”, summarized the DPR head.

Pushilin also reacted to the victory speeches of the Ukrainian media, which claimed that the Ukrainian armed forces took Andreyevka and Kleshcheyevka near Artemovsk under their control. He said these villages were now in a gray zone and that Ukrainian troops were unsuccessfully trying to gain a foothold in them.
