The Russian military destroyed the first UK heavy tank Challenger 2 during Russia’s special military operation, the telegram channel Military Chronicle wrote on September 5.
According to military correspondents, the combat vehicle was hit near Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region. The telegram channel informed that the tank, which was assigned to the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade of the Ukrainian armed units, was most likely destroyed by artillery fire.
Earlier, the head of the public movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov said that the Ukrainian militants near the village of Rabotino were suffering huge losses as they were trapped in the kill zone.
