Russian soldiers repulsed the Ukrainian attack using tanks and armored vehicles near Rabotino, leader of the Zaporozhye public movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov told RIA Novosti on August 17.
The enemy was advancing with tanks and US Stryker armored vehicles. The Ukrainian armed units were stopped on the approach to Rabotino, Rogov said.
According to him, the combat continued for several hours. As a result, the Ukrainian armed units withdrew. Rogov said Russian aviation was attacking them.
As for the situation in the Vremevsk area, Rogov said that Urozhaynoye and Staromayorskoye were not under the control of the Ukrainian militants, no matter what representatives of the Kiev regime say.
Earlier, Rogov said that the Ukrainian armed units had already used up two-thirds of the reserves prepared for the offensive along the Zaporozhye direction.
Forbes expert David Axe said on August 16 that the Ukrainian armed units had introduced their last major reserve – the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade – into combat.
