The Gastello FPV drone was put into production in Russia, a development engineer told RIA Novosti on August 5.
“The new Russian FPV drone has been developed taking into account the wishes of UAV operators working in the zone of Russia’s special military operation,” the engineer said. The ability of this drone to carry out combat missions at night is just introduced at the request from the specialist at the front line.
Currently, 30% of the kamikaze drone parts are Russian-made. Soon, their share will be increased to 95%. It is planned, said the engineer, to produce up to 5 thousand drones per month.
It should be noted that the pilot of FPV drone (First Person View) gets the feeling of flying in the place where the drone is located with the help of virtual reality glasses.
