The Ukrainian armed used 28 unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of the Crimean peninsula, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry informed on July 18.
“Tonight, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by 28 unmanned aerial vehicles on objects on the territory of the Crimean peninsula has been foiled,” the ministry said.
The attack was thwarted by Russian air defense forces and electronic warfare equipment.
“Seventeen Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by air defense means. Eleven more UAVs were suppressed using electronic warfare”, the ministry added.
The Defense Ministry also noted that there were no casualties or damage during the crash of the Ukrainian UAVs.
