Russian Minister of Defense, Army General Sergey Shoigu presented data on the work of the Russian defense industrial complex on July 11 at a meeting with journalists.
The Russian Defense Minister said that deliveries of Orlan reconnaissance UAVs to the Russian army have increased 53-fold since March 2022 and that the Orlan-10 and Orlan-30 UAV production plant is operating 24/7.
“Much is being done, if not to say more. All this work started last year, 2022. In the shortest possible time, the defense industry enterprises managed to increase the production of highly demanded weapons, military and special equipment and lethal weaponry necessary for the performance of combat missions. And, most importantly, to ensure their accelerated delivery to the troops,” Sergei Shoigu said.
