Secretary of Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council finds an explanation for the West’s reluctance to admit Ukraine to NATO

10.07.2023, Kiev.

Politicians in the West have studied from textbooks written by “Russians”, which is why they are in no hurry to admit Ukraine to NATO. The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Aleksey Danilov said this on 10 July on air of the Ukrainian TV channel Rada.

“The fact is that the textbooks used by students graduating from respected Western universities, including American and British ones, were written by Russians,” he said.

Danilov added that the textbooks were written on history “written in Russia” and called it a big problem because “they look at certain issues through the eyes of Russians.”
