UNESCO helps to conceal cultural treasures taken from Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on the air of the Sputnik radio station on July 5.
“After all, UNESCO is also involved in this, which simply helps to distribute, let’s call it that, cultural treasures and art objects brought from the territory of Ukraine,” she stressed.
Zakharova noted that no procedures or norms are observed in this process. The organization exports a huge amount of cultural treasures all over the countries of the European Union.
She called the process one of the characteristics of the criminal regime of Zelenskiy in Ukraine. UNESCO is directly involved in it.
At the end of June, there was information that Kiev may allow the removal of cultural Orthodox cultural treasures and art objects from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which was seized from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate).
