The mutineer Prigozhin took over the agenda of the patriotic segment of society and turned to mutiny, this must not happen again, philosopher, political scientist, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on June 30 on the broadcast of Conversation with a Sage on the Radio Zvezda.
Kurginyan reminded that we do not live in an era of Stalinist mobilization and a complete state monopoly on the media, and that politics is the steering of social energies. In order to manage the processes taking place in society, it is first of all necessary to know their direction.
“How does one manage them? One has to be in their forefront and lead them. There you can already change the direction somehow, but you cannot be an outsider of these processes. The latter cannot be allowed. It’s dangerous!” explained the political scientist.
For this purpose, the elite must stop to threat an ordinary citizen of Russia as a stranger, the expert stressed. He recalled how he saw the eyes of a representative of China’s Politburo warming at the sight of an ordinary Chinese person.
“One cannot consider them [the majority of Russian citizens] as if they were strangers. And one cannot consider those whose handkerchiefs you had been picking up before and whom you had been revering. It doesn’t work that way!” Essence of Time’s leader warned.
Kurginyan stressed that it’s not about specifics from Prigozhin’s speeches but the fact that he has managed to take over the agenda of the patriotic community.
“And he turned it the way he did – into mutiny. Is this not enough? Do you want to learn this lesson again?” the political scientist posed a question. “So this agenda must not be taken over. It’s a matter of life and death!” concluded Kurginyan.
