The United States by any means tries to seize Venezuelan oil, according to the columnist Edelberto Lopez Blanch, who wrote this in his article for the website Rebelión on June 2.
According to Blanch, the US is not satisfied with the fact that oil production is completely controlled by the Venezuelan government. For 25 years, US and international companies have had no access to the country’s oil fields.
According to Diosdado Cabello, first vice-speaker of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, the US sanctions against Caracas are aimed at “seizing the country’s oil wealth“.
Donald Trump, when he left the presidency, said that Venezuela was on the verge of collapse, which means that the US could seize all of that country’s oil.
