In Ukraine, it is necessary to support and strengthen those people who love Russia, philosopher, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on June 9 on the program Conversation with a Sage on Radio Zvezda.
The political scientist noted that Russia’s main mistake in building a policy in the post-Soviet space was flirting with liberal forces and the lack of proper support for pro-Russian politicians.
“We would not have lost Ukraine if we had not made this mistake,” Kurginyan stressed.
He recalled that a similar situation with a lack of support for pro-Russian forces was in the Baltics. According to him, the Russian authorities preferred to support former Riga mayor Nil Ushakov rather than Tatyana Zhdanok, a member of the European Parliament who defended the Russian-speaking population of the Baltics.
The political analyst noted that the Russian functionaries chose to support Ushakov because he represented a wider group of people. At the same time, the functionaries did not pay attention to the fact that this politician does not quite adhere pro-Russian views.
“When from the very beginning, he is not quite for us, he will be completely against us at the next stage,” the philosopher explained.
The political scientist pointed out that former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich was not such a pro-Russian politician either.
“We need sincere supporters – that’s the model! If we want this Ukraine, we need our own Ukraine, Russian Ukraine. We need to know that there are people there who love us deeply and honestly,” the political scientist is convinced.
According to him, we are talking about people who love Russia even more than the citizens of Russia.
“They love us even stronger than we currently deserve. This is infinite, boundless, sincere, unselfish love,” he stressed.
Precisely such people in Ukraine must be strengthened, Kurginyan believes. And such people must form the core of the new Ukraine. According to him, it is necessary to feel this process and gain full control of it.
“It is enough to seriously bet on it, so that everything will go in the right direction,” he concluded.
