The Russian military intercepted four missiles fired from the HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system with the help of air defense means in the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov told journalists on June 16.
“The air defense of the Russian Air Force intercepted four missiles fired from the HIMARS multiple rocket launchers during the day,” the statement said.
Russian soldiers also shot down 22 enemy UAVs near Volnovakha, Artemovsk, Novaya Kakhovka and other towns and villages.
Earlier, Denis Pushylin, the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), announced the losses of the Ukrainian armed units during an attempted offensive in Makarovka in the DPR.
