The world is being artificially transformed towards normalizing sexual perversion, de-Christianization and dehumanization, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview published on June 1 in the journal Science and Religion.
Events taking place in the world now cause utter astonishment, noted Kurginyan. Only 60 years ago, homosexuality was illegal and something you can get in prison for, pointed out the expert. For the same crime in the UK, the options were – a prison sentence, or the electric shock treatment.
What happened to the West over these years, if this paradigm has changed to a diametrically opposite one?, the leader of the Essence of Time asks.
“This cannot be a natural process. Natural processes take longer and unfold on a different historical scale. And, it is not for the first time in the history of mankind that we are having Sodom and Gomorrah; all these ancient perversions, we … had them before… But in the past, it all happened differently, and now we feel that some kind of artificial transformation process is unfolding under pressure and at a much quicker pace, ” said Kurginyan.
The political scientist recalled that during the time when the Soviet Union was being destroyed, he warned that de-Christianization would follow decommunization. According to him, after that, Pope John Paul II spoke about a culture of death. Much later, Pope Benedict spoke about a culture of death, and that it should not be allowed.
“But it is coming, we are seeing this de-Christianization! In all its forms: on one hand, there is the transformation into a pseudo-humanistic surrogate of everything that was said in the Old Testament and in the Gospels; on the other hand, religion is simply loses its authority, while other processes are taking place,” added Kurginyan.
