Iran’s president plans visit to Cuba

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi has scheduled an official visit to Cuba for June 14, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said June 11, according to Prensa Latina.

During his stay in Cuba, the high guest will hold talks with Cuban authorities and take part in several events.

Cuba and Iran continue to enjoy friendly relations that have lasted nearly 45 years since they were re-established in August 1979. Bilateral ties have grown stronger over more than four decades.

The two countries cooperate in areas such as the exchange of Cuban biotechnology products and Iranian nanotechnology, as well as in other areas of common interest.
