There is no alternative between great shocks and a great Russia any longer, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on May 26 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
“What I want is what is called the sovereign’s word and deed, in a big way, not like a right or a wrong person was assigned, or one is effective and another is not – it is all ineffective,” Kurginyan said.
In his opinion, a systemic architecture can be built in which everyone will be ineffective, but the architecture will be effective. Alternatively, a systemic architecture can be built where everyone will be effective, but the architecture will be ineffective.
“There is no alternative between great shocks and a great Russia any longer, we need transformations towards greatness, towards real greatness. Without shocks and without attempts to stick to this reality, which was built to prevent this greatness from taking place, to eliminate otherness, to make everyone ordinary, like… ‘like in Denmark,’” the philosopher said.
Kurginyan noted that the Russian citizens will not have a chance to become ordinary.
“It is enough to take a look at Irtysh or Yenisei or something else, at taiga – it all breathes with Siberia when you arrive there – in order to understand that it is impossible to become like those living in Denmark. It is impossible, and we do not need it. Someone may need it, but I do not. But even those who need it should understand that it is impossible,” Kurginyan said.
According to the political scientist, the Russian citizens can either become themselves or die; therefore, they must say this, they must change, and they must start living a different way.
“This is addressed, I repeat, not only to our certain high-ranking officials, to whom this applies, too, but this is addressed to all the people who have turned inwards or have even fallen into a sort of a dismay,” Kurginyan said.
According to the political scientist, we have to break through this dismay, leaving false optimism aside, towards a real responsibility for our Fatherland and the understanding that it is yours.
“And this will be the beginning of a new reality and a new victory. And now we should be proud of taking Artyomovsk, and we do not have to hide the fact that we are proud of it,” the political scientist concluded.
