Russia, having abandoned its ideology during the disintegration of the USSR, suffered significant losses economically and now rejoices in being among the ten largest economies in the world, according to a summary from the theater of war published in The Essence of Time newspaper, no. 533.
According to the World Bank and national statistical services, Russia has returned to the top 10 economies of the world for the first time since 2014. By the end of 2022, it produced $2.3 trillion worth of goods and services and ranked eighth in this indicator.
Traditionally, the largest economy in the world in 2022 was the USA with a GDP of $25.46 trillion, and China with a GDP of $17.94 trillion was in the second place.
“Recall that the USSR was the second largest economy in the world, while being in opposition to the collective West and at the same time financially helping the Third World countries to build the socialism at home. And now, 30 years after the destruction of the USSR, Russia is happy to be the 8th economy of the world. And the second economy is now communist China, which 30 years ago no one took into account at all.
Russia, having abandoned its ideology, also ceased to be independent economically, it turns out, that Russia itself have abandoned all signs of sovereignty.
