NATO’s expansion has taken on a threatening scale, not only for Russia, but already for China as well, according to a summary from the war theater in the Essence of Time newspaper, No. 533.
In early May it was announced that NATO intends to open a representative office in Japan in 2023. It will serve as a liaison office through which NATO countries and Japan can hold consultations on various issues.
Other allies of the alliance, including South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, could take part in such consultations. Similar NATO liaison offices are currently located in New York, Vienna, Georgia and Ukraine.
“NATO’s eastward expansion has become truly threatening. And not only to Russia, but also to China,” says the editorial in the Essence of Time newspaper.
