More and more hotbeds of tension are emerging around Russia. Opinion

The hotbeds of tension around Russia are regularly emerging, and one of them will detonate sooner or later, according to a report from the theater of war published in The Essence of Time newspaper, no. 533.

In early May, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security David Kattler stated that underwater Internet cables could be sabotaged in the Atlantic, North and Baltic seas. According to him, Russia’s military and special services map critical infrastructure in Europe.

In the same days, Washington assured Vilnius to strengthen its military presence in the Baltic Sea. Warsaw approved a bill allowing the Polish military to sink ships and aircraft that threatened gas pipelines on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.

“The hotbeds of tension are regularly emerging. Sooner or later, one of them will detonate. It will probably cause a chain reaction. Are we ready for such tension, and how much time do we have to prepare for such a scenario?” The Essence of Time‘s editorial reads.
