Acting DPR head: Ukrainian armed units increase their activity along the entire front line

15.05.2023, Donetsk.

The Ukrainian armed units intensified their activities along the entire contact line, acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said on May 15 on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

Nevertheless, he did not call what was happening a full-fledged Ukrainian counteroffensive.

“This is not yet the counteroffensive that is much talked about. We can see that the enemy is trying to probe our positions, trying to conduct reconnaissance in some areas,” Pushilin stressed.

He noted that the situation in Artemovsk is encouraging, as the Wagner units continue to methodically take control of the city, moving forward.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky complained during talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz that the planned counteroffensive would not involve Russian territory, as Ukraine “does not have the strength or means” for such ambitious plans.

Despite repeated threats that Ukraine would soon launch a large-scale counteroffensive in a number of areas, so far there are reports about an increase in combat activity on the part of the Ukrainian armed units.
