Russian Shturm-S anti-tank missile system stops the breakthrough of Ukrainian tanks

The Russian Shturm-S anti-tank missile system (ATMS) stopped an attack by Ukrainian tanks, the commander of the self-propelled ATMS with the call sign “Stary” said in a video released by the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service on May 2.

The Russian commander said that the Shturm-S, depending on the missiles installed on it, can hit the enemy at a distance of five to six thousand meters. According to the military officer, during an attempt to break through Ukrainian tanks, a combat crew of the ATMS hit two combat to them with precise fire and stopped the enemy’s attack.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service, the artillery division of the motorized rifle unit of the Western Military District is actively using the Shturm-S, destroying not only enemy tanks, but also firing points, fortifications, and other military equipment of the Ukrainian armed units.

The Shturm-S consists of a combat vehicle 9P149, on which either a guided missile Shturm 9M114, or advanced missiles 9M120, 9M120-1, 9M120-1F is installed.
