The Russian people destroyed their state twice in the 20th century, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview to the Metametrica YouTube channel published on April 4.
“Russian people is an ingenious creator of great states, it truly is. But in all fairness, it’s also true that twice in the 20th century, it has destroyed the country and don’t say that external forces did this. They helped,” noted Sergey Kurginyan.
The philosopher recalled that in Russian history there was such a period as unrest. He also mentioned that during his theater production of Pushkin’s famous tragedy Boris Godunov, he discovered a historically authentic letter from the poet Alexander Pushkin to Pyotr Vyazemsky dated July 13, 1825.
Pushkin wrote the following in regards to the tragedy: “Before me is my tragedy, I can’t help but call it ‘A comedy about a real misfortune to the Muscovite state, about Tsar Boris and Grishka Otrepyev. Written by Aleksashka Pushkin in the year 7333 in the Settlement of Voronezh.”
This title was later canceled. The text contains the words “trouble for the Muscovite state”, written at the moment when the Empire was on the rise, “What is the root of this trouble?” the philosopher is asking.
The reason why the Russian people can destroy their own state is due to the fact that a Russian person must be in love, and not serve time, or perform a number in regards to the state, stressed Sergey Kurginyan. And when this love is not there, everything quickly slides towards distemper, concluded the political scientist.
“For Russians, it is unacceptable to have a loveless relationship with the state. First, they must be the kind of people who know how to truly love, including loving the country. And, secondly, they must truly love it, not fulfill their duties, not serve time, not to be a server, they must love. When they love, they perform miracles, and as soon as this love ends, everything quickly slides towards unrest,” explained Sergey Kurginyan.
