NATO is expanding the concept of warfare, so it is time for Russia to reconsider its approach to the conduct of hostilities, according to a summary from the theater of war of The Essence of Time newspaper, no. 529.
At the end of March, former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen made the simple and clear point that real democracies should create an “economic NATO” to counter autocratic China and prevent it from imposing sanctions on them.
This is supposed to be analogous to Article 5 of NATO’s charter, according to which an attack on one NATO member is considered an attack on all NATO members.
“The thought is very promising and shows, among other things, that from now on all kinds of unfriendly actions can be warfare. Isn’t it time for the Russian Defense Ministry and other agencies to reconsider their approach to warfare? Not in the sense of rhetoric, but in practice,” The Essence of Time‘s editorial reads.
