More than 3 thousand refugees have been deported to Afghanistan by the Turkish authorities in the last three months, Pajhwok reports that the Turkish Immigration Management Department said on April 15.
It is indicated that Turkey has deported a total of 10,261 illegal immigrants from the country, of which 3,277 are citizens of Afghanistan. Twenty charter flights were organized to send Afghans back home, the report said.
On April 12, the Office of Immigration announced that another charter flight sent 138 Afghans to Afghanistan who could not present documents allowing them to stay in Turkey.
