The Russian leadership should not allow a remake of the events that led to the collapse of the Russian Empire, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview to the Metametrica YouTube channel published on April 4.
We are talking about a situation when anti-state forces become very close and influential to the leadership of the country, while patriotic, and pro-Russian forces are defamed and demonized to such an extent that they are no longer able to stand with the government.
Kurginyan recalls what his great-uncle, one of the founders of the Union of the Russian People, a patriotic and, as they used to say, reactionary organization, that is, an organization that supported the tsarist government, told him when he was young.
“Here is a story from these founders of the Union of the Russian People, which stuck in my head from my childhood. The sovereign invites you to the assembly, he is the Lord’s Anointed, so, why not to come? We come, they put us in the back row, while clear enemies of the sovereign are sitting in the front row. Obvious enemies! The sovereign comes out and says: ‘We are glad that decent people have come,’ and points to his enemies. Then he points at us and says: ‘Well, when the indecent come, we let them in anyway, they, too, represent our society’,” said Kurginyan.
After such words, some join the enemy’s rank; while true patriots get offended and leave, noted the expert.
Thus, by 1917, Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna – “the madwoman who destroyed the empire” – alienated all pro-state political forces so much that they were left without their support.
“I don’t want a similar remake, because I see some complex processes; they stem from the most complex genesis of the system,” warned Kurginyan.
According to him, if this system starts to “rattle”, then the collapse of the country will be quite real, because, currently, there are a sufficient number of shortcomings within it. Particularly, what’s unacceptable is the conflicts within the army.
