A technical delegation from the kingdom conducted a tour of the former Saudi embassy building in Iran in preparation for the reopening of the diplomatic office in Tehran, ISNA reported on April 9.
It is noted that the Saudi delegation arrived in Tehran on April 8, 2023 and visited the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
The countries signed an agreement on the restoration of diplomatic relations on March 10, 2023 in Beijing.
Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers met in Beijing on April 6. The ministers confirmed that, according to the March 10 agreement, the countries will reopen their embassies within two months.
