For the second year in a row, more soldiers left the armed forces of Germany (Bundeswehr) than entered service, the newspaper Neue Osnabrucker Zeitung wrote on March 30.
According to the newspaper, last year 19.5 thousand soldiers left the ranks of the Bundeswehr, and more than 4.2 thousand military personnel retired early.
At the end of last year, the number of military personnel was about 183,000.
